Before I was introduced to Southwest Marketing I was very unsure of what I wanted to do in the future. To be 100% honest my plans included attending college and studying psychology.  The reason being that the only other person that had been to college in my family graduated from college with a degree in psychology.  It's unbelievable how confused and lost I was. It wasn’t until I joined Southwest Marketing that I learned how marketing works and the impact it makes in the business world.  When I first started learning about marketing, I was automatically intrigued, but it was the real-world experience and hands-on learning opportunities the we focused on that really developed my passion for marketing.

If it wasn’t for Southwest Marketing I would never have found my passion.  The networking and professional skills I developed while apart of this program is something I will carry and benefit from for the rest of my life. Southwest Marketing provided me with the hands-on experience that really made a difference when I was choosing my career.

I am currently a full time student at The University of Texas Rio Grande where I am finishing up my degree in business marketing.  Aside from being a full time student I also run my own marketing consulting business with a growing book of business.  My services include development of marketing plans, both traditional and integrated, social media marketing, logo development, content development, website design and much more.  These are all skills I learned in high school thanks to Southwest Marketing. 

 

 Every day my passion for marketing grows and I get to do something I love which makes a significant impact to businesses I serve.  Southwest Marketing prepared me with the skills, knowledge, and experience I needed to become a marketing professional and I will forever be grateful.
